A woman who has been parading herself as a medical doctor in Obudu Local Government Area of Cross Rivers State, Stella Akagbusim, has been arrested by officials of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), reports CrossRiverWatch.
And
according to the report, this is the second time Akagbusim will be
arrested for the same offence, after she had earlier been nabbed and
granted bail.
It was gathered that the suspect was
rearrested on May 4, after her earlier arrest, following complaints
made by the Community Relations Officer, Emmanuel Akwagiobe, about a week after her initial release.
It was further revealed that the fake doctor's
cover was blown after she treated a man identified as John, a business
center operator at the NSCDC field office and charged him 9000 Naira.
The patient told her he had only N3,000 on him and asked her to return in two days which she agreed to.

When
the appointed day came, Akagbusim was said to have gone to the office
to harass John for her balance and he resorted to questioning the
rationale behind her desperation for the balance and alerted the NSCDC
who later arrested her.
When she was questioned,
Akagbusim reportedly said she graduated from the Madonna University but
it was realised following investigations that though she graduated from
the school, she did not study medicine or any science related courses
though she paraded herself as a specialist who works with GNLD, a food
supplements marketing and networking company.
She
was later released and warned to desist from practicing what she did
not study but a week later, she had gone back to her fraudulent
practice and was arrested again
